Banor Mutin was a Human male from Salis D'aar, Bakura. He was selected to become a Jedi, but due to unforseen circumstances involving pirates his life as a Jedi was abruptly cut short and ultimately destroyed. He was imprisoned for nearly four years by the Pirates before he was liberated by a platoon of soldiers from his home Planet.

He returned home with an ambition towards politics, where he was made Trade Minister by the Queen of Bakura, Talia Kristan. He was later promoted to Senator of Bakura.

Banor Mutin lived in the Capital City of Salis D'aar, Bakura. He was brought up by his father, Dral Mutin, and mother, Eliza Mutin, both engineers at the Arden Repulsorlift Plant.

At aged 16, Banor was tested by a Jedi to have an adequate midichlorian count for training in the ways of the Force. On their way to the Jedi Temple, the Heraklon-class transport they were passengers on were attacked by a gang of pirates.

Banor, along with a number of other passengers were kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed prison on a Planetary body in the Outer Rim. Many of the captives either died or went insane with the torture they had endured. Banor was held there for almost four years before a contingent of Bakuran Clones liberated them from the prison.
