Clan Motto : Mando'ad draar digu (A Mandalorian never forgets)

Clan History[]

Merys Clan once hosted a proud tradition of honorable Mando'ade, the oldest documented of them was one of the Journeymen Protectors of Concord Dawn who supported Jaster Mereel's ideals on the Supercommando Codex whether at the time it would be called that or not. Styvar Merys the 1st (b.81 BBY) was killed during the battle of Galidraan in 34 BBY by an un-named Jedi under the leadership of Jedi Master Dooku. His younger brother Aphos Merys (b.77 BBY) was killed some short time after in 32 BBY in response to the corrupt Mandalore Governor Vrox's short reign of terror (Aphos had no children).

Ralt the 3rd, son of Styvar was born (b.53 BBY) on Concord Dawn but would take up residence on Mandalore, becoming one of the many Protectors; with his wife Niiva they would have biological children a son and daughter named Styvar the 2nd and Kaitu (b.31-29 BBY on Mandalore) Ralt was a trainer amongst the Supercommandos though he never officially joined as one of Spar's recruits or soldiers - his death was documented (along side an adopted child of Styvar the 1st named Shoa) in the final year of the Clone Wars (19 BBY) during the ambush constructed on Norval II by Darth Sidious.

Survived on by Styvar, Kaitu and Shoa's son Radyon all three would follow Mandalore Fenn Shysa's lead becoming members of his resistance group who fought to get Mandalorian homeworld from it's current oppression under the newly formed Galactic Empire. A fight that would last nearly 20 years during which Styvar Merys would marry a force-sensitive woman named Valyn, whom later betrayed him, which he repayed in kind. Leaving himself exile from his clan and his wife dead. Twisted against the Jedi for various reasons he found himself under the lucrative business of hunting them until his own death in 4 ABY.

Kaitu Merys would be lost into slavery, her name never heard of as the Merys line itself splintered, the only ones holding the title no longer full blooded but Merys none the less, lead by the child of Shoa (whom died in 3 ABY during the uprising against Grand Admiral Takel), Radyon. The children of Styvar the 2nd would be recognized as Mando'ade again as their father before his death had regained honor amongst his people during the Nagai-Tof Invasion, helping to successfully defend against the Nagai during their attacks on Mandalorian space. Though honor was regained, they were not allowed back into the Merys clan by Radyon Merys, instead Styvar started a new clan named Kytori under which all of his children and theirs would be named. A name chosen because of a famed hero of the Old Republic Era he had once heard stories about as a child - not in the least phased the name had become a popular one throughout the galaxy as a whole. The Mandalorian Kytori would prove to be a cut above the rest.

During the Yuuzhn Vong War, knowledge passed on from Styvar on how to 'defeat and hunt' Jedi became extremely useful to Mandalore Boba Fett and their allies, as such the clan Kytori made a name for itself in it's specific talent (even attracting a large insurgence of clones into their ranks), so much so they became a favored of the Yuuzhn Vong in dealing with New Jedi Order adversaries, until of course the Battle of Mandalore (29 ABY) in which the Kytori family took huge casualties.

After the Yuuzhn Vong War, Mandalore Fett called for two million of his people to return "home" to repopulate their planet. The Kytori for the most part remained offworld and against the desires of the current Mandalore took sides in the Second Galactic Civil War namely to the fact a good portion of the clan had taken up residence upon Corellia. Their aid was kept until Thracken Sol-Solo's death and the appearance of Boba, the political reasonings and plots revealed would sway their side, joining with the other SuperCommandos in various missions throughout the war, coming to an abrupt and brutal end at the hands of Darth Cadeus when their champion and aliit'alor Sema Kytori (41 ABY) was slain.

Upon Natasi Daala's installation as Chief of State for the Galactic Alliance, the Kytori remenants well heralded gladly took up jobs as hired hunters for rogue Jedi. This kept thier name and reputation intact and allowed the clan as a whole to get some feel of vegeance against the despised Force-users.

127 ABY Clan Kytori again would be utilized and part of the Galactic wars following Mandalore Chernan Ordo during the Sith-Imperial War.
