The LSC, light saber crystal, is a true telescoping blade that produces an average of 1/3 less script lag of other light sabers. The unique style of the blade is enhanced by the Glow feature found in the candidate version of the Second Life viewer. Minx Bade came up with the telescoping blade design that is the trademark of the LSC. The previous lightsabers in Second Life would go from transparent to visible during activation so there was no telescoping. The LSC versions extends perfectly when ignited and will retract in the same way when deactivated. There are plans to put out more designs using the LSC system.
